Annual Conference & AGM Update

Monday, August 21, 2017 - 13:00

With less than a month to go until our Annual Conference & AGM, we thought we would give you an update of what you can look forward to!

This year the Conference has a Health Check theme, to tie-in with the work we have been doing with Members throughout the year to support them to remain healthy and fit for purpose.

There will be plenty of opportunity to network and to access expert and specialist services at our 'triage' style facilitated networking session.

The conference will also offer Members the chance to pick from a range of roundtable discussions, covering a variety of topics. These discussions will be facilitated by a number of the sector's leading professionals, including:

  • Ollie Entwistle - Head of the LGB&T Policy Team at the Government Equalities Office
  • Shirley Greer - Charity Specialist at Scrutton Bland LLP
  • Gemma Bull - Portfolio Development Director at the Big Lottery Fund
  • Andrew O'Brien -  Head of Policy and Engagement at Charity Finance Group
  • Helen Belcher - Co-Founder & Director of Trans Media Watch

There will be a Panel Discussion after lunch, where we will be welcoming questions on: 'The Prognosis for the LGBT/Small Charity Sector'.

Panel members will include:

  • Paul Roberts OBE - CEO of LGBT Consortium
  • Ollie Entwistle - Head of the LGB&T Policy Team at the Government Equalities Office
  • Andrew O'Brien -  Head of Policy and Engagement at Charity Finance Group
  • Gemma Bull - Portfolio Development Director at the Big Lottery Fund

We will close the day with our AGM, where Full Members will be invited to vote on a range of resolutions. Full details of the AGM are below.
