Post Conference Update:

Thanks to everyone who came to the Annual Conference and AGM on Saturday 3rd November. It was a wonderful day with some inspiring speakers and workshop.

We managed to video the keynote speakers (we had apologies from Dawn Austwick from The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation due to illness) and you can find the videos here:

This year's Annual Conference and AGM will focus on how LGBT organisations can thrive through these difficult times. It will offer Members' an opportunity to explore new partnerships, different ways of working and engaging better with current policy direction.

It is being held at the Penthouse Conference Centre, Wynner House, Bromsgrove Street, Birmingham, B5 6RG. Directions can be found here

During the morning session we will be hearing from several keynote speakers and Members will have an opportunity to pose questions on the conference theme during a panel discussion. So far, we have confirmed:

  • Ben Kernighan, Deputy Chief Executive at NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations)
  • Joe Irvin, Chief Executive of NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary and Community Action)
  • Dawn Austwick, Chief Executive of The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation
  • Jon Fox, Head of Policy at The Big Lottery Fund

There will be an opportunity to talk to our keynote speakers during the first half of the workshop session.

Travel Bursaries

Thanks to Birmingham LGBT and Fyne Times, we are able to offer some travel bursaries to small and unfunded Member organisations who would otherwise be unable to attend the event. When you register above you will have the option to tick if you would like to request information about a bursary. Please note that these will be allocated as a priority to small and unfunded Member organisations.
