Youth Inclusion

The Youth Inclusion Programme is an exciting new area of work that aims to support the development of Consortium’s members in engaging with younger Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Trans people from across the Nation’s capital.

If you want to engage more with the LGBT Youth communities we can help you from putting into place the necessary policies and procedures, to helping you source support and train young people to take part, to developing your organisations staff team and what it mens to really engage with the LGBT Youth communities.

Supported by the National Lottery’s Big Boost Programme, The Step-Up programme forms part of the Youth Development Unit of The Consortium’s current service provision. The project aims to deliver on our capacity-building remit by developing Young People to become the future leaders of the LGBT third-sector, equipping them with the necessary skills and attributes for them to make a positive contribution to their society with either generic or LGBT specific services, and build a well trained pool of future community leaders. For many of you, the engagement of Youth Communities is a priority and this project is geared at supporting you through the process of making your organisation effective at doing so through supporting those of you individually to do so and disseminating better practices from across the entire third sector.
