Practical Strategies to develop inclusive services for lesbian, gay and bisexual people.

 

This two day course provides participants with the opportunity to explore methods of developing inclusive, welcoming and supportive services for their Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual (LGB) service users.

 During the training, participants will learn about:
* The impact of homophobia and heterosexism on the lives of LGB people
* The potential health inequalities encountered by LGB people and the
associated effects on service   access/delivery
* Practical strategies for developing services to meet the needs of their LGB clients
 

Participants will also experience a range of training exercises/techniques on LGB issues that can be shared with colleagues/other service providers.

Cost: The course costs £30 to workers from Sheffield-based organisations, and £250 to organisations outside of Sheffield.
