Job reference:

This is an opportunity to develop your skills and experience in sexual health promotion and HIV prevention.

The job is very varied, so you’ll be out and about on the scene taking part in outreach events, and working with individuals from at risk communities across Oxfordshire, giving them information and advice about reducing the risk of HIV and maximising their sexual health.

You will need to have great interpersonal and communication skills,
experience of supporting people and be a good listener. You’ll have energy and enthusiasm, a sound understanding of issues relating to sexual health and HIV, and a willingness to learn along with knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of gay men in relation to HIV and health promotion.

This post will involve provision of sexual health advice and support to men who have sex with men in public sex environments.  Section 7(2)(m) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and Regulation 7 of the Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2003 applies for this role.

This role will require enhanced CRB disclosure.

We’ll reward your energy and enthusiasm with a great range of benefits including generous annual leave, season ticket loan, family friendly policies and support for flexible working agreements.
