WASAlgbt

WASAlgbt

A social support group, based initially in Wythenshawe, Manchester that provides support to local LGBT people across Greater Manchester to ensure the organisations and charities in the city centre consider collaborations (in services and funding bids) and promote themselves and enable those established lgbt and those coming out to be made to feel comfortable and aware of the various services and alternatives to 'the apps' and 'scene' like the many sports, leisure and social groups.

Working with LGBT Foundation to support local prides and establish local groups, we have met with local politicians and made contact with the likes of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission, Human Appeal International, RECLAIM and GetConnected. My agenda is non-political but passion-driven.
