Vigil against Hate Crime

We have confirmed that date for this year's Vigil against Hate Crime is Friday 28th October starting at 7.30pm, with a two-minute silence at 8pm. As well as Trafalgar Square London, similar events are confirmed to take place in Norfolk, Brighton and Stoke and we are waiting to hear back from San Francisco and Vancouver, Canada. Watch this space, and we hope you will take part wherever you are.
 
The next event we are due to attend is Brighton Pride on Saturday 13th August. London Pride and Norwich Pride were amazingly successful and to date we have distributed over 6,000 flyers advertising our campaign. We've just confirmed our first fund raiser will be held at the Green Carnation, Greek St on Sunday 11th September starting at 12 midday. We hope you'll join us and help us raise funds towards this years Vigil. A sponsorship letter will be sent out separately appealing for donations and support. We want to encourage more organisations to support us this year by hosting their own events to raise awareness of hate crime. You can help us encourage more people to take part by forwarding this e-mail on to people who organise community events in your area - why not speak to your local venues and get your local council and police safer neighbourhood teams involved. If you know of other events that are being organised make sure you forward us details so we can signpost them too.
