'City for LGBT+' Live Crowdfunding Event

Wednesday, May 8, 2019 - 10:00

Consortium is looking forward to celebrating the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOTB) at a special event on 21st May.

We're partnering with GiveOut and The Funding Network for City For LGBT+ - London’s first live crowdfunding event supporting LGBT+ specific non-profits.

This special event will be kindly hosted by Macquarie Group at their London HQ.

Two Consortium Members will be pitching for funds on the night:

Gendered Intelligence - Increasing understandings of gender diversity and improving the lives of trans people in the UK.

New Family Social - The UK's LGBT+ adoption and fostering support charity.

Alongside two international LGBT+ groups:

The Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays (J-FLAG) - Jamaica’s leading LGBT+ human rights organisation, working to increase understanding and acceptance of LGBT+ people and build a society that respects and protects the rights of everyone.

The Centre for Law & Policy Research (CLPR) India - Working across India to ensure access to justice for the most marginalised groups, providing free legal representation to trans people.

Tickets are £25, which will go to the non-profits on the night. The minimum on-the-night donation will be £100. There will be a chance for networking, with drinks and canapes kindly provided by Macquarie.
