Consortium and LGBT HERO Launch LGBT+ London Mapping Tool

Wednesday, July 3, 2019 - 10:15

Consortium and LGBT HERO are very pleased to be launching an online mapping tool on 23rd July.

The interactive tool has been developed as part of an exciting three-year mapping project to strengthen the LGBT+ sector in London. Thanks to funding from City Bridge Trust, Consortium and LGBT Hero have been working to identify gaps in the sector, map out existing services, and support collaborative efforts between different organisations. .

For the past two years LGBT+ services, groups, and support in the Greater London area have been mapped. This wealth of information will now become available to everyone through the Always Out There digital map, hosted on OutLife.org.uk, LGBT HERO’s online health and wellbeing hub.

The map contains the details of hundreds of organisations and services, and will allow LGBTQ+ Londoners to easily access local services tailored to them, whether that be trans-specific sexual health clinic or a mental health drop-in. It also provides commissioners and funders the opportunity to see where the gaps in services are, borough by borough.
