Jay Stewart from Gendered Intelligence shortlisted for Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 Award

Jay Stewart from Gendered Intelligence has been shortlisted for Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 Award, among five finalists who have a chance of winning the UK-wide £10,000 Award. The award will be decided by public vote.

About Gendered Intelligence:

Gendered Intelligence is a social enterprise which aims to increase understanding of gender diversity. Gendered Intelligence delivers trans youth programmes and support for parents and carers and also provides professional development and trans awareness training for all sectors, and educational workshops for schools, colleges, universities and other educational settings.

About the award:

Launched in 2012, the Lloyds Bank/ Bank of Scotland Social Entrepreneurs Programme is designed to support social entrepreneurs in communities and, through them, help stimulate economic growth and regeneration across the UK. Recent research commissioned by the BIG Lottery Fund demonstrates the positive impact of the programme on people, businesses and communities and by 2017 the programme will have created over 7,000 jobs and supported 1.1 million beneficiaries. In addition to the grand prize award of £10,000, prizes of £6,000 and £4,000 will be awarded to the runner-ups, as voted for by the public.
