National Lesbian, Bi and Trans Women's Health Week 2018

Fair Access for Better Health

This week marks the second National Lesbain, Bi and Trans Women’s Health Week here in the UK.

LBT Women's Health Week aims to raise awareness about lesbian, bisexual and trans women’s health inequalities, to make it easier for service providers to empower service users and for communities to support LBT women. The week is also an opportunity to celebrate, highlight and learn from the work of groups and services which provide dedicated support to lesbian and bisexual women.

Growing evidence demonstrates that lesbian, bisexual and other women who have sex with women (LBWSW) are experiencing a range of health inequalities and both face barriers to accessing health care and are have poor experiences when they do:

You can find events in your local area, or add your own events to an  LBT Womens Health Week interactive map.

Find out facts and figures about the health inequalities that LBT women face here.

The National LGB&T Partnership have been busy collecting women's experiences of healthcare. Take a look at them here
