National LGBT Hate Crime Partnership Shortlisted for European Diversity Award

We are very proud to announce that the National LGBT Hate Crime Partnership has been shortlisted for the award of 'Marketing Campaign of the Year' at the upcoming European Diversity Awards.

The European Diversity Awards, which take place on the 30th September 2015, recognise and celebrate innovation, excellence, creativity and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion by organisations and individuals. The EDAs are unique in recognising all aspects of diversity across the whole of Europe and celebrate the best across both the corporate and campaigning aspects of diversity. The awards are a key date in the diversity calendar in Europe and are widely acknowledged as the “Oscars of diversity”.

The LGBT Hate Crime Partnership brings together a partnership of 33 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) organisations from across England, Wales and Scotland. Funded by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, the partnership aims to increase the reporting of Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic Hate Crimes and incidents and improve the support available to those targeted.

The nomination comes in recognition of the partnership's recent LGBT Hate Crime "RECOGNISE IT. REPORT IT" media campaign, which received great exposure in the UK press when it was launched on the 23 June this year.
