T-House Party

Oh yes indeed on 19 February 2012 T-House will be a year old

For those that don't know, T-House is the first and only support and social group specifically for Black and ethnic Trans people in the UK, it's based in London and it's celebrating a whole year in existence. The group is growing every week but has a solid core of regulars, making it lively and welcoming.

T-House pride themselves on being self-governing with a good mix of discussion, activities and outings, there is also a phone-line in-house for regular members of the group.

The weekly point of contact means that anyone in need of support is never to far away from a safe space in which to talk, share experinces or just network with other Black trans people.

The Consortium are very happy that T-House are a memeber and see the group as offering a vital service to the BME Trans community.

T-House is open to all Black and ethnic trans or trans-questioning people at whatever point of your journey.

Jael founder and coordinator says of T-House "I never wanted a passive group, where I just sit down and talk I always wanted a group that was vocal and participtated fully, it's grown into that..  I used to worry about numbers but not anymore..I 'm so glad we have survived a year!"

T-House will be having a celebratory outing for current members of the group on Friday 17 February 2012.

The consortium wishes them a very happy 1st birthday and every future success!
