Use your cancer experience to help drive change in cancer care for LGBT people.

Macmillan wants to ensure that everyone - regardless of their ethnicity, faith, gender or sexuality - has equal access to the best quality cancer services.
We know that patient experience in cancer care can be poorer for people from the LGBT community. But there isn’t enough evidence being gathered about the experiences of LGBT people affected by cancer.
To put this right, we need your help.
We are launching an online research community to understand the issues that really matter to LGBT people with cancer. This is an opportunity for you to tell us what the most important issues are and explore together what the solutions might be.
We need LGBT people with a cancer experience to sign up to the community, which is launching in October 2014. We also want to hear from professional stakeholders with knowledge of health inequalities or the issues facing LGBT people. If you know of anyone who might like to take part, please share this flyer so we hear the voices of as many people as possible.
To sign up or to find out more, please contact the Inclusion team at research.learning@macmillan.org.uk by 15th September 2014.
