Research and Policy Coordinator

Kaleidoscope Trust

This is an exciting moment for a dynamic and experienced researcher and policy analyst to join a small, creative and influential NGO, as we expand our staff team and international activities championing the equality and human rights of LGBT+ people to accelerate change to end discrimination.

The TCEN Secretariat manages the network’s day-to-day functioning, operationalises and coordinates its activities and represents the network in Commonwealth spaces. As part of the Secretariat team, the Research and Policy Coordinator will support TCEN—and Kaleidoscope Trust in its role as TCEN Secretariat—to deliver the next stage of our advocacy towards Commonwealth institutions and member states, with particular regard to the opportunity CHOGM 2020 in Rwanda presents to continue building momentum we have achieved in advancing the equality and human rights of LGBT+ people across both the Commonwealth, and Africa. The network will be gathering in March 2019 at its first-ever Global Conference, a key opportunity at which members will develop the network’s strategies and organising going forward. This post-holder will take an active role in preparing for and participating at the conference.

The post-holder work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including other members of the Secretariat (Programme Manager, Programme Coordinator and Communications Coordinator), the network’s Management Committee and other activists from across the network. The post-holder will deliver specific outputs relating to research, policy and monitoring and evaluation.
