Pride in Ageing Manager

Earlier this year Greater Manchester became the first age-friendly city region in the UK, as recognised by the World Health Organisation.

As age-friendly communities are established across the region, LGBT Foundation are looking for a collaborative and dynamic individual to establish and lead our brand new Pride in Ageing programme to ensure that the needs of older lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people are recognised and met by services, particularly social care and housing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and launch a Pride in Ageing programme at LGBT Foundation.
  2. Raising the profile of older LGBT people and the issues affecting them across Greater Manchester.
  3. Developing an LGBT inclusion kite mark for social care services in Greater Manchester.
  4. Acting as strategic and policy lead for older people at LGBT Foundation.

Pride in Ageing has been funded by Greater Manchester Ageing Hub, Manchester City Council, Age Friendly Manchester and Barclays Spectrum North West Gala, sponsored by Visa, and their corporate friends Eversheds Sutherland and Pinsent Masons.
