Hate Crime Independent Victims Advocate

Galop is the UK’s leading LGBT+ organisation providing advice, support and advocacy to people who have experienced hate crime, domestic abuse and sexual violence.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our hate crime casework team. The role will focus on delivering advice, support and advocacy to empower people targeted by anti-LGBT hate crime.

The post holder will be expected to attend occasional partner meetings as relevant, liaise with external support agencies, and undertake some outreach/engagement, as agreed with the Head of Hate Crime Services.

Galop is looking for someone with a robust understanding of issues around hate crime, good knowledge about the identities and lives of LGBT+ people. A robust commitment to equalities and the inclusion of all LGBT+ people and a demonstrable aptitude to working on this topic.

We are committed to promoting equality and diversity. We particularly welcome applications from BAME people who are currently under-represented among the staff of LGBT+ organisations.
