Wellbeing Support Worker

Birmingham LGBT is recruiting LGBT Wellbeing Support Worker to work alongside our team of wellbeing staff and volunteers working to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of people who are lesbian Gay bisexual and trans.

The successful applicant will join a motivated and enthusiastic team based at the Birmingham LGBT Centre in Central Birmingham.

Overall Aims:

  • To improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of people who are lesbian Gay bisexual and trans.
  • To reduce social isolation of people who are lesbian Gay bisexual and trans.

Main areas of responsibility include:

  • To provide support and case management face to face, telephone and online to LGBT people who access the service.
  • Support service users in learning and practising strategies that support improved mental health and wellbeing.
  • To support people to make informed choices.
  • To support people to access community activity.
  • To gather service user data and monitoring information.
