Campaigns Officer – Fixed Term

We’re the UK’s largest charity campaigning for equality for lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) people here and around the world. We are passionate about protecting and extending LGBT equality in the UK and our Campaigns Policy and Research (CPR) Team are at the heart of our understanding of the many forms of inequality that affect the lives of LGBT people in Britain.

Despite considerable progress, many LGBT people still experience discrimination and abuse, and the rights we have so far achieved are under threat from those who disagree with LGBT equality. The CPR team are at the heart of Stonewall’s programme to protect and extend LGBT equality in the UK. We work hard to ensure all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people know they're not alone and use our specialised knowledge to identify the best way to achieve positive change, influencing policy makers and mobilizing the power of individual and collective action across Britian.

As Campaigns Officer you will provide vital support to the planning, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of campaigns for LGBT equality focused on empowering a movement of LGBT people and allies to change hearts and minds in their community. Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of campaign engagement through events, promotions and resources. You will hold key logistic responsibility providing the necessary support to ensure the work of the CPR team is well received and wide reaching in order to promote and extend LGBT equality

You will liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and therefore will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail. You will have proven experience of arranging events and managing projects, ideally with a background of working in Campaigns.

If you’ve got the skills and are ready to start working for LGBT rights and equality, please complete and return an application form by 9.30am Wednesday 19th June 2019. Interviews will follow on Thursday 27th June 2019.
