Senior Events Officer – Third Party Events

For the last thirty years, Stonewall has been working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people.

As a charity we rely on the generosity of private individuals, communities and organisations. Without it, none of what we do would be possible.

Join us as our Senior Events Officer – Third Party Events and help to run exciting and innovative events to raise vital income and awareness of our aims and objectives.

Working within our Events team as part of the Fundraising Team, you will help to inspire the public and our existing supporters to play their part in working towards acceptance without exception. You will be responsible for the account management of a portfolio of small, medium and large third-party fundraising events and relationships.

It is a varied role where you will be able to utilise and develop your skillset; from conducting research, to creating pitch documents, partaking in networking in order to grow the third-party events portfolio for Stonewall and securing high value prizes if required by a key beneficiary event.

Reporting to the Head of Events and Ambassadors, you’ll be the primary point of contact for a wide variety of supporters who want to raise money for Stonewall’s work, with an annual income target of c.£200k. You will manage spontaneous offers from supporters and pro-actively recruit partnerships to form a portfolio of third-party-run events benefitting Stonewall. As a member of the Events team wherever possible, it is an expectation of the role to assist with large Stonewall-owned events at busy times and manage the on-site delivery, staff and volunteers. The role therefore offers the post holder a broad range of experience as well as the opportunity to specialise.

We are looking for an events professional with demonstrable experience in all aspects of events management, with the skills to influence, innovate and pro-actively approach and create opportunities. Our ideal candidate has the knowledge of fundraising events mechanisms within a charity environment, in particular experience delivering an event income of over £20,000 and a proven track record of managing budgets and working within associated fundraising regulations.

If this sounds like you and you’re looking for a new and inspiring challenge, please complete and return an application form by 9.30am on the 14th August 2019. Interviews will follow on the 20th August 2019.
