Youth Worker (Emerge Youth Group)

Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit to a highly motivated youth worker to the post of Youth Worker (Emerge Youth Group). The youth worker will be responsible for leading and developing Emerge, a youth group for trans and non-binary people between the ages of 13 and 19 in the West Midlands. The main aim of the role is to work with young trans, non-binary, and gender questioning people in a way that empowers them, and prioritises their safety and personal development in a group work and one-to-one setting.

The successful applicant will join a motivated and enthusiastic team based at the Birmingham LGBT Centre in Central Birmingham.

Terms:

  • NJC scale SCP 22 £21,589 pro rata 21 hours per week plus up to 5% matched pension contribution and 25 days plus the bank holidays annual leave entitlement.
  • Contract: 3 years fixed-term.
