Pride in Practice Co-ordinator - Sexual Health

The post-holder will work as part of a team of enthusiastic and dedicated account managers who work with health care providers nationally to ensure delivery of Pride in Practice.

Pride in Practice is a quality assurance and social prescribing programme for health care services that strengthens and develops service providers’ relationships with their lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* (LGBT) patients within their local communities.

Pride in Practice is an established programme in Greater Manchester that launched in 2011. The post-holder will contribute to the successful delivery of a pilot of Pride in Practice in Greater London and will focus specifically on sexual health services in Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. 

The post-holder will work as part of a team of enthusiastic and dedicated account managers who work with health care providers nationally to ensure delivery of Pride in Practice. The successful applicant will have access to a hot desk in Lewisham.

  • Ensure ongoing excellence in the delivery of Pride in Practice. 
  • Support development of the Pride in Practice model for sexual health services.
  • Deliver onsite training sessions in sexual health services.
  • Inspire health care professionals to reflect on their service delivery and to implement Pride in Practice’s best practice model for inclusive service delivery to LGBT people. 
  • Provide a professional account management service to sexual health services engaging in the project, supporting their ongoing learning and development.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with sexual health services, LGBT organisations, and wider stakeholders. 

We particularly welcome applicants who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME), trans, and older (50+) as colleagues from these backgrounds are currently underrepresented in our organisation. 

*We use trans as an umbrella and inclusive term to describe people whose gender identity differs in some way from the gender they were given at birth, including non-binary people, people who cross dress and all those who partially or incompletely identify with their sex assigned at birth.
